Cat Camp

We at Cat Camp would like to thank you for your enthusiasm and excitement to engage with us this summer. Since the initial shut down nationwide due to COVID-19, we worked with various stakeholders at the university, the community, and the state level to ensure that we would be able to host a safe, fun, and engaging camp during this unprecedented time.

Due to the rise in cases in our community and other communities across the state, the university has decided to cancel Cat Camp this summer. This decision was not made lightly, but was made to allow us to continue to be a champion of the health and safety of our students, staff, and community.

Since the university made the decision to cancel Cat Camp this summer, we will be providing everyone who has registered with a full refund to the method of payment used when you registered. A confirmation email will be sent to you when your refund is processed. We understand that this may be cause for additional questions, and we are here to answer them for you. You can contact us by phone at (512) 245-1687 or by email at catcamp@txstate.edu.

P.S. – We still plan to engage with incoming students and share about all of the Texas State traditions and all the reasons that we are proud to be Bobcats! Keep an eye out for us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Welcome to Cat Camp

Cat Camp is Texas State's only pride and traditions camp designed to assist students with their transition into the Texas State University community. It is a three-day experience for incoming students who want to learn about all the reasons to be a proud Bobcat. Our Cat Camp staff encourages students to bond with other incoming students, learn Texas State's history and traditions, and create lifelong memories. Cat Camp provides a foundation for a successful college experience by discussing common transition topics and highlighting campus involvement and opportunities.
